Our Story
DistalProx was built out of a real problem experienced in the field.
Medical device sales representatives, clinicians, and clinical support staff routinely need fast, accurate information about device specifications — channel sizes, working lengths, wire compatibility, tip designs — in environments where time is short and the stakes are high. Binders get left in cars. Manufacturer websites are slow to navigate. Calling a rep isn't always an option.
DistalProx was created to solve that problem: a clean, fast, clinically accurate device reference that works for everyone in the room — the rep, the nurse, the physician, and the procurement manager making purchasing decisions from a conference room.
What We Built
DistalProx is a mobile reference application covering endoscopy and GI device categories across the major manufacturers in the space. Every device entry includes standardized, verified specifications drawn from manufacturer documentation, FDA 510(k) clearance data, and published clinical resources.
The app is designed to be genuinely useful at the point of care — fast to search, easy to read, and consistent in how it presents information across competing products.
